This name remained until 540 A.D. when it was completely destroyed by the Hun raids. In the 11th century, farmers gathered in this area and in time the village was given the name &#8216;Polychrono&#8217; because of the many flowers that were there. A few centuries later, during the Greek revolution against Turkish rule in 1821, the area was burnt and completely destroyed for the second time in its history.
